BASCD is delighted to announce the winner of the 2020 Keith Woods Essay competition, Ruairi O’Kane who is an undergraduate at Belfast Dental School. Ruairi essay on the impact of COVID-19 on dentistry was judged to be very insightful by a large panel of judges.

We were delighted this year to see so many entries, with just under 50 submissions from across the whole of UK. This makes Ruairi achievement even more noteworthy.

We are hoping that Ruairi will be able to attend a  virtual presentation of his prize at the December Presidential meeting.  We trust that we can give the societies congratulations as a whole to Ruairi for his winning entry.
