BASCD is the UK’s professional association for the science,
philosophy and practice of promoting oral health in society.
New Editor for Community Dental Health, the Journal of the British Association for the Study of Community Dentistry (BASCD) and European Association of Dental Public Health (EADPH).
BASCD and EADPH are delighted to welcome Dr Wael Sabbah, as Editor of Community Dental Health (CDH). Wael brings to the position a wealth of experience having served as a CDH Editorial board member, Editorial board member of the Journal of Dental Research and Community Dentistry and Oral Epidemiology, along with being an associate editor in BMC Oral Health and the International Journal of Dentistry.
Dr Sabbah is a Senior Lecturer in Dental Public Health in King’s College London, and a well published and highly cited author with an H-index of 37.
Welcome Wael, we wish you every success in your new role and look forward to working with you and shaping Community Dental Health and Dental Public Health over the next four years.
It is also an opportune time to sincerely thank Professor Peter Robinson for his incredible work as Editor of CDH over the past eight years. Amongst many items of note Peter led the successful move of CDH as a print journal to a fully online journal and the move towards an online publication with Sage Publishing.
BASCD has hosted a suite of masterclass sessions focussing on the 4th edition of Delivering Better Oral Health (2021) from a public health perspective.
There are four sessions, each was delivered by experts in the field who have contributed to the development of the Delivering Better Oral Health toolkit.
